The 2023 Hurricane season is quickly approaching. June 1st begins this year's hurricane season. Already before the start of the new season weather forecasters are monitoring tropical waves in the Atlantic for the start of Memorial Day weekend.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) announced that they are expecting a Near-Average season with up to 17 named storms:
Five to nine Hurricanes
One to four Major Hurricanes (Category 3 or higher)
